Two Conchs Fishing Charters

Marathon, FL

Captain Jack Carlson engaged Ryan Scott to create a “chill-out” lounge for his successful charter fishing business in Marathon, Florida. Designed as a gathering point for before and after trips, the space connects directly to the docks, allowing guests to move seamlessly from lounge to boat for a day on the water in the Florida Keys.

In partnership with Costa Del Mar, the space was heavily influenced by the brand’s Kick Plastic campaign, reinforcing a strong visual and environmental message throughout the experience. A well-known TV personality and host of Two Conchs Sportfishing on The Outdoor Channel, Carlson wanted an environment that felt as memorable and authentic as his brand.

The Ryan Scott design team delivered a standout concept, and I was responsible for translating that vision into a fully realized physical space. Using site survey data and architectural plans, I developed the layout and implementation strategy, ensuring the design intent carried through while meeting real-world constraints of the existing structure and waterfront conditions.

Key features included a custom kegerator counter for serving beer within the lounge and an exterior water-bottle filling station positioned at the rear exit, supporting a smooth transition from social space to on-the-water experience.

After a successful installation, we were treated to a full day of offshore fishing with Captain Jack’s crew.
